ANNOUNCING AN EXCITING NEW BAPTIST HERITAGE RESOURCE AN INTRODUCTION TO BAPTIST PRINCIPLES is a new 24-page booklet that the Baptist History and Heritage Society (BH&HS) will release on December 1, 2005. Through identifying the passionate ideals and values of the Baptist story—literally the heartbeat, the essence, the soul of that experience— this booklet can help meet major needs at a critical point in today’s Baptist life when identity issues surface all about us. The booklet is authored by Dr. Bill J. Leonard, Dean and Professor of Church History at Wake Forest University Divinity School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. A few of Bill’s 15 books include Baptists in America (2005), Baptist Ways: A History (2003), and a Dictionary of Baptists in America (1st ed., 1994). The BH&HS is particularly interested in meeting the educational needs of local churches. This new booklet can have extraordinary value in such settings as Sunday School, discipleship training classes, new church member orientation settings, and church libraries. Catalog price for the booklet will be $2.50 per copy. However, all orders received prior to November 15, 2005, can secure the following special prices: 10-99 copies ($2.00 each), 100-299 copies ($1.85 each), and 300 or more copies ($1.75 each). Shipping and handling costs will be added to all orders. Simply e-mail Charles Deweese at cdeweese@TNBaptist.org, indicate how many copies you would like, and provide your name, address, and telephone number. (For orders of 25 or more copies, please provide your physical UPS shipping address if your regular mailing address is a PO Box.) We will hold your order and ship your copies (along with an invoice) immediately after receiving the booklets from the printer. Thank you for your consideration of this special offer. Our goal is to help your church, school, or other organization carry out its ministry more effectively.
