Bible Institute, later New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary; executive
secretary of the SBC Executive Committee; president and chancellor of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary; and president of the Baptist World Alliance).
2. Defining Baptist Convictions: Guidelines for the Twenty-First Century, edited by Charles Deweese (contains 20 essays by noted Baptist scholars).
3. Southern Baptists: A Historical, Ecclesiological, and Theological Heritage of a Confessional People by Slayden A. Yarbrough.
4.”Global Baptist History” is the theme of a recent issue of Baptist History and Heritage (contains 14 papers presented at the Second International Conference on Baptist Studies held at Wake Forest University in July 2000).
