McLaughlin Accepts Fort Worth Pastorate

TBC Associate Director, Dr. Charles C. McLaughlin, has accepted the pastorate of Western Hills Baptist Church, Fort Worth. He is already preaching each Sunday, and left our staff Dec. 31. 

Charles has done us a wonderful job these last five years that he has been a part of our staff. 

While in most cases, it may not be best for friends and relatives to work together, this was not the case with Charles and me. We had a wonderful relationship and I will miss him deeply. 

As first cousins, we have known each other all our lives and understand each others gifts, moods and temperaments. I think this is an excellent move for Charles as I always knew that someday he would follow his heart into a position of more direct personal ministry for which he is immensely gifted. 

I know all TBC supporters are aware of the tremendous work Charles has done for TBC and join me in wishing him an effective pastorate. 

After January 1, Charles can be reached at Western Hills Baptist Church, 8500 Chapin Rd, Fort Worth, TX, 76116. The church phone number is 817-244-0216. 

No decision has been made on a replacement for Charles as the TBC Administrative Committee is working with me to study the best way to structure our office for maximum effectiveness. 

I welcome their input and am excited about a period of re-examination of "how to do what we do more effectively." 

We hope to have our staff restructured by February 1.
