BGCT leaders are always trying to be fair. They are constantly seeking to help churches regardless of where they stand on the denominational struggle. They do not publicly advocate support of the SBC instead of CBF or CBF instead of the SBC. They seek to work with both and respect both.
Contrast this approach with that of Paige Patterson, who will be the next SBC president and is a SBC employee. He was the featured speaker at the Southern Baptists of Texas rally in Garland on April 24. He spoke to a rally of an organization whose stated purpose is to get Texas Baptist churches to not support the Baptist General Convention of Texas.
SBC leaders actively work against state conventions that are not "toeing the line" in their support of the SBC. BGCT leaders, in contrast, continue to try to work with everyone. That is quite a contrast in leadership style. Which do you prefer?
