SOUTHWESTERN JOURNAL ARTICLES REPRINTED AS BOOK

As was reported earlier, the Spring issue of the Southwestern Journal of Theology was canceled because the articles were considered “not balanced.”

The Journal issue focused on “interpretations of the Baptist Faith and Message” and included articles by William Hendricks, William Estep, Bill Leonard and others.

Smyth and Helwys has printed the articles in a book titled Sacred Mandates of Conscience: Interpretations of the Baptist Faith and Message. The book looks like something every Baptist should read.

Chapters include “God, the Bible and Authority in the Baptist Faith and Message” by William Hendricks, “In Search of the One, True Church Ecclesiology in the Baptist Faith and Message” by Bill Leonard, and “Principles Implicit in the Concept of Religious Liberty in The Baptist Faith and Message” by William Estep.
