Phil Strickland To Highlight Texas 2000 Banquet

Phil Strickland, executive-director of the Texas Baptist Christian Life Commission, will deliver the keynote address at the opening banquet of the 1996 Texas Baptists committed convocation.

The third annual convocation will be held in Fort Worth, Friday, May 31, and Saturday, June 1, in the Ramada Downtown Hotel across from the Fort Worth Convention Center. The meeting will begin with a banquet at 6:00 p.m. Friday.

Strickland, who has been on the staff of the Texas Christian Life Commission for 25 years, will speak on Texas 2000: The Vision. The theme of the convocation will be Texas 2000: Priorities for Texas Baptists.

Rooms at the Ramada Downtown Hotel are $63 per night for one to four persons. Reservations my be made by calling 1-800-228-2828. Ask for the Texas Baptists Committed room block. The hotel is at 1701 Commerce.

The banquet reservation form is printed on page 2 of this newsletter. Banquet tickets are $20 per person.
