SPECIAL SEMINAR FOR MINISTERS JUNE 2

Doug Ezell and Myron Madden to Lead Seminar

Texas Baptists Committed is excited to present a seminar especially for ministers entitled “Caring for the Care Giver: For Ministers Who Do Not Walk on Water.” Leading the all day seminar will be Dr. Doug Ezell, clinical director, Pastoral Counseling Center, New Orleans Baptist Hospital and Dr. Myron Madden former Chaplain and Director of the Department of Pastoral Care at Southern Baptist Hospital in New Orleans. Many Texas pastors will remember Dr. Ezell’s many years teaching New Testament and Christian Ethics at Southwestern Baptist seminary before going into counseling.

Dr. Madden is an nationally known author (The Power to Bless, Claim Your Heritage Blessing: Giving the Gift of Power), and counselor. He has served as President of the College of Chaplains, delivered the Northcutt Lectureship at Southwestern Seminary, and had a monthly column in “Home Life” magazine for 27 years.

This seminar is for any minister or staff person. We would like for you to register with us so that we might be prepared for the number attending. A $20 registration fee is being charged which will include lunch on Thursday, June 2. This will allow us to cover expenses for the speakers.

We especially WANT TO STRESS THAT THIS SEMINAR IS NOT POLITICAL in any form or fashion. Dr. Ezell and Dr. Madden will not be discussing the controversy in Baptist life. This seminar is designed to help any Texas Baptist pastor or staff person who wants to attend. It is a separate meeting from our Convocation which will begin the next evening.

The same room rate does apply to attenders attending this seminar. Do call 1-800-288-3927 and identify yourself with TBC for the $75 rate.
