Texas Baptists Committed is dedicated to reaching people for Christ through local churches; promoting and defending historic Baptist principles; spreading an understanding of Baptist heritage and distinctives through education; and cooperating with the mission of the Baptist General Convention of Texas and its related institutions.

BREAKFAST WAS WONDERFUL

The 1994 TBC annual breakfast had an incredible turn out. The crowd was estimated at 1,400 people. Dr. Russell Dilday brought a wonderful, inspirational message. You will want a copy of his sermon and we will offer them at a special price of $3.00 per tape. Notice the tape order form on page 00.

A few folks seemed shocked we did not have our usual seated, full course breakfast. They failed to notice it was advertised as a continental breakfast in our September newsletter due to limited space. A seated breakfast would have only allowed us to accommodate only 900 people.

We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding the breakfast being a different format this year.

The fact is, we are encountering a wonderful problem. Our breakfast is the largest event at the BGCT each year except for the convention itself. Since Texas Baptists Committed is not an official part of the BGCT (although the reason we exist is to support the BGCT) we cannot use space blocked by the BGCT.

Since the BGCT blocks most of the space in the city we are meeting in, we have trouble finding locations large enough to accommodate us. Our crowd is larger than most hotel meeting facilities can accommodate, even in our states largest cities.

Next year in San Antonio, we are in excellent shape. We have a place that can accommodate 1,800 people to sit down and eat. We look forward to seeing you then.
